This course is designed to give you a thorough understanding of the safe handling of medicine. It provides an introduction to the many types of medicine you are likely to encounter in a work environment, covering some of the legislation about medicine and sources of information and guidance.

The course consists of four mandatory units:
Unit 1 - Understanding Medication and Prescriptions
Unit 2 - Supply, Storage and Disposal of Medication
Unit 3 - Understanding the Requirements for the Safe Administration of Medication
Unit 4 - Record keeping and Audit Processes for Medication Administration and Storage

* Must be in employment
* Must be a resident in the EU for a minimum of 3 years
